Still more to share

Ok so still continuing on with the August new releases from A2Z Scraplets. So sorry about the multiple posts trying to show you all of these LO's. Technology and I really haven't been agreeing lately. 

That is it for the A2Z Scraplets, now I would just like to share with you a little bit of playing I have been doing

If the previous blg post seemed to end abruptly it is because I am trying to blog from my iPad and it is proving rather difficult, so I apologize for this.  I was in the process of showing you my creations for the A2Z Scraplets August new release.

It has been a while

Well it has been a while since I have posted anything and I sincerely apologize for this. To say that I have been having a bad run lately is an understatement. With everything that I have had going on I have neglected my blog but now I would really love to share with you some things I have been working on.

 

I absolutely love this layout.  It has not been created with paper or card but nfact it s created on a 12x12 piece of calico and I have used a selection of materials instead of patterned paper. I LOVE how it has turned out.  I have used the A 2 Z Scraplets  Old Picket Fence in this layout and have covered it in white gesso, followed by a generous layer of Tim Holtz rock candy crackle paint. I have then given it a light coat of gold perfect pearls just to add a little bit of colour and sparkle. I have used smooch inks to colour in the little bird that sits on top of the fence.

The next layout that I would like to share uses the A 2 Z Scraplets 1st day of school.

 

I have roughly colored this chipboard using distress inks - chipped sapphire and broken china. I have then gone over them with a coat of glossy accents. I have also used the A2Z chicken wire on this layout.

This has been inked with vintage photo distress ink, a light coat of gold perfect pearls and then a coat of glossy accents.

A2Z Scraplets April Challenge

The monthly Sketch challenge over at A2Z Scraplets has had a bit of a Shake Up this month as we are presented with a gorgeous Colour challenge instead of a sketch. 

This is my take on the colours......

Here is a close up of my title that I painted with acrylic paints and then gave a coat of glossy accents

The gorgeous butterfly frame was coated with white gesso and then I used pan pastels to colour it.  Then coated with glossy accents

The border, title & butterflies used on this page are a set from A2Z Scraplets and it is absolutely gorgeous.  It was the perfect thing to use for this colour challenge.

Happy Leap Day

Hi there everyone.  Hope you have all had a wonderful "extra" day.  I have just stopped by to let you all know to head over the the A2Z Scraplets Blog and check out the post I have just put up.  I love being on the design team for this fantastic company.  Not only am I surrounded by a wonderful group talented ladies but it challenges me and I love the challenge.
